HealthWyse Implementation at Florida's Senior Home Care.
HealthWyse LLC, of Wilmington, Massachusetts and
Senior Home Care, of Clearwater, Florida are working on implementation and rollout of the
HealthWyse integrated clinical and financial software system at the provider's 22 Florida branches. Senior Home Care is the largest freestanding, Medicare-certified home care agency in the state. The
HealthWyse hosted application will tie together all the agency's branch operations.
Don Powers, VP of Clinical Affairs and project lead for this implementation, explained that Senior Home Care had evaluated point-of-care systems since 2003. “We selected the
HealthWyse system due to its hosted IT architecture, PDA-based point-of-care and intuitive software design. Our business plan calls for continued expansion of our operations, and we needed a software platform that would allow us to centralize branch functions and grow fast."
During the past six months, the joint SHC and HealthWyse project team has implemented the system in 7 branches and expects to complete the rollout to all 22 branches by mid 2008.
